Due to a condition of stasis dermatitis due to venous insufficiency I have a recurring problem with bacterial infections causing open sores on my lower legs from the ankle to the knee. These sores/ulcers are very slow to heal & I need to cover them with medicated ointments & vasoline to effect healing. the Adaptic Pads allow me to liberally medicate my open sore areas & wrap them with gauze pads or rolled gauze without the gauze dressing sticking to the open wound when I remove it to change them daily. I use the 3" x 3" & the 5" x 9" sizes. They are very effective, Individually packaged in a sterile plastic pouch & buying them through HealthyKins is cost effective - a similar product bought from a retail pharmacy (CVS/Walgreens) or a retail store (Walmart) cost from 3-5X more per unit & they were less effective since the other brands were solid items (Telfa? type pads) that did not let my wounds "breathe."

I have venous ulcers on my legs and regular gauze pads stick to the edges and cause problems, these pads are a fantastic improvement. They actually allow the edges to start healing. My doctor even says my legs look better since starting using them. What a relief! I use the big 9"x 5" size.
