I discovered this product last fall. I have trouble with my fingers getting to dry and splitting in the winter. This did not happen by using Amerigel. It is no longer available in my local drugstore and I ordered it from Healthykin. Fast service!!

This was recommended by my husbands podiatrist when he burned his foot and didn't know it due to diabetes. It was applied with a wet dressing on top and healed his foot really well with a few debridement treatments. The podiatrist has been trying to get insurance companies to cover it as it works better than anything else he has in his arsenal. Glad to see the VA used it from another review! HealthyKin had the best price I found, and mailed it out quickly!

The Veterans Hospital applied a thick layer of Amerigel over each deep brown recluse spider bite wound on my foot before covering with XEROFORM Petrolatum Dressing. After 10+ weeks I found that Amerigel heals with no scars. Without Amerigel and only XEROFORM on 1/3 of the wounds, all healing left major scarring. Amerigel also extended XEROFORM changing from every 12 hours to every 24 hours. I highly recommend this product and HealthyKin shipping was FAST!
