Tempa Dot Single Use Clinical Thermometers from HealthyKin.com are accurate, convenient, versatile and economical body temperature measuring devices. Clinically accurate oral body temperature can be obtained in 60 seconds and axillary temperatures in three minutes. Tempa Dot thermometers use a dot sensor matrix consisting of temperature-sensitive indicating dots. Each dot changes color from tan to blue at a specific temperature relative to the melting point of the specific chemical mixture of the dot. Each dot changes color at a temperature of 0.2°F or 0.1°C higher than the preceding dot. Body temperature is read from a numerical temperature scale. Tempa Dot thermometers are sensitive to environmental temperature - see storage conditions.

Tempa Dot Single Use Clinical Thermometer Features:

    • Oral/axillary
    • Designed for one-time use
    • Soft, flexible & nontoxic
    • Fahrenheit scale

These are used by the nurses that care for my wife who has ALS and has been in home care for over 2 years. They have commented that this newest batch seem to be a lower quality than previous ones. The dots aren't as consistent with some lower temp ones in the middle not turning color (i.e. temp is 98.2 but 97.2 & 97.4 don't turn color). In addition, the reading changes (to lower value) in the first 30 seconds. You must read the strip immediately to get an accurate result. These things didn't used to happen. They are still the best strips we have found.

We have always used tempa dots at our school, and have been extremely happy with how accutate they are. However we are having problems with this last batch we ordered. The dots are "spoty" and we are having a difficult time figuring out the correct temperature.

Best, easiest accurate way to take a temperature. And, one time use therefore, throw it away! No spreading germs!! An Oncologist recommended this item to us. We would never use any other method. Try it, you'll love them
