Mepore Film Transparent Self-Adhesive Film Dressing from is ideal as secondary fixation dressing and as primary dressing for a wide range of clean wounds. Mepore Film's application system is designed for ease-of-use.

Mepore Film provides a flexible, transparent covering to protect the wound, while conforming to surface irregularities and body contours. The film provides a barrier to fluid strike-through and viral and bacterial contamination.

Mepore Film maintains a moist environment in the wound. Thanks to its high vapor permeability, Mepore Film allows excess moisture to pass away from the wound and surrounding skin.

Since 1979, more than 1.5 billion original Mepore dressings have been sold. Perhaps because Mepore was the world's first self-adhesive dressing. Perhaps because of the continual performance updates, keeping up with the needs of patients and professionals and setting the standards for all conventional dressings along the way. But mostly, we think, for one simple unsurprising reason: dependable performance, shift in and shift out. Since day one.

Mepore Film Transparent Self-Adhesive Film Dressing Features:
    • Supporting protection foil and paper frame for ease of application
    • Transparent, breathable, elastic polyurethane film for patient comfort and optimized wound healing
    • Viral and bacteria proof film, impermeable to fluids, for a safe and protective environment
    • Skin-friendly polyacrylic adhesive for gentle and secure fixation

My granddaughter has a port for chemotherapy and the drsg that was being used caused terrible skin irritation, even pulling some of the skin off. The nurses had one of these drsgs and it worked perfect. The best part - the drsg removal was much more efficient and way less painful. I purchased these to take to the hospital for them to use whenever her port needs to be accessed.

What a great product! I have a wound on my back that is taking a long time to close and I was very depressed because that meant I couldn't go swimming. (And in Arizona, that would be a long time) I found these bandages thru an on-line search and tried them. At first my doctor said to try them in the shower and they worked great. So he said go ahead an swim. Been using them for a year - they really stick to my skin and do not leak.
