This dressing can jump start healing in shallow wounds. As has been mentioned, insurance coverage for non-diabetic ulcers is a problem. I find it actually works better on patients with spinal cord injuries. There is a pricing problem here. You can buy 10 individual dressings for $1370 but a box of 10 is $1406. It does not make sense.

This can give stubborn, shallow wounds a boost healing. Like most related products determining if it will be effective on any given patient is a trial and error process. It is very costly for patients who do not meet the criteria spelled out by their insurance carrier. Many limit their coverage to diabetic ulcers. There are others who can benefit from Oasis use who do not that criteria.
