    AquaGuard Wound Protector from HealthyKin.com is a waterproof disposable moisture barrier which keeps sites, wounds and dressings dry while the patient showers. It provides millions of safe showers in hospitals and homes each year. AquaGuard features a specially designed medical adhesive that effectively protects the area from water while you shower and is gentle during removal. The 10" x 12" AquaGuard is the perfect size to protect PICC lines, stomas, knee, hip or shoulder incisions, dialysis catheters and ostomies. The actual area of coverage is 8.5" x 9.75" (21.5cm x 24.5cm). Please measure your site/dressing to make sure it fits within the actual area of coverage. One sheet is needed for each shower.

      Depending on the location, you might need to add some tape around it, but I’ve used them on both an accessed port in my chest and on various PICC lines in my arms with great success...and nice showers. If your shower is too hot the dressing dampens with humidity and sweat, and you should be careful. I’d recommend this product!
