    Smith and Nephew Iodosorb Cadexomer Iodine Gel from HealthyKin.com is a sterile formulation of Cadexomer Iodine. When applied to the wound, Iodosorb cleans it by absorbing fluids, removing exudate, slough and debris and forming a gel over the wound surface. As the gel absorbs exudate, iodine is released, killing bacteria and changing color as the iodine is used up. A 3-in-1 mode of action kills bacteria, manages exudate and debrides the wound bed.

    Iodosorb Cadexomer Iodine Gel Features:

    • Exudate and debris is removed effectively
    • Iodosorb helps to promote a clean wound healing environment
    • A change in color (white) indicates when Iodosorb should be changed
    • Gel formed over the wound promotes moist healing
    • Accelerated healing rates can lead to earlier patient discharges
    • 2½ to 3 year shelf life, even if opened
    • 1.4oz (40g) tube
    Iodosorb Cadexomer Iodine Gel Instructions:
    • Open tube and squeeze gel on to a non-adherent gauze to the shape of the ulcer and to a depth of 3 to 4 mm
    • Position the gel face of the gauze on the wound surface and apply mild pressure to fix in place
    • Gently take off the existing dressing which should be moistened with saline if it is tending to adhere to the wound surface
    • Remove any remaining Iodosorb with a gentle stream of saline or sterile water if applicable
    • Gently blot away any excess fluid before re-applying Iodosorb

      Iodasorb is the absolute best product for wound healing. I have used it on and off for the past 6 years and it never let's me down, my wounds heal when nothing else can make that happen. I always use Healthykins because the cost is so high at the pharmacy and Medicare doesn't cover it!

      I took a chunk out of my ankle right on the bone with an uncooperative garden gate in April. The wound just would not heel, in spite of everything I was trying. After doing a little research, I came across Iodosorb. It was a Godsend! It has taken many months of careful care and application of the gel, but my wound is finally completely healed. I would put a little gel on a small gauze square and apply it to the wound and then cover it with a large bandage. I don't know if it would've ever healed without this great product. It was so awesome that the gel would turn white to let me know it needed to be reapplied. Loved that I'd order it one day and find it waiting on my doorstep a day or two later, just with regular shipping. Great customer service!!

      Iodosorb is a fantastic product for wound care, especially for diabetic foot ulcers such as the one that I have. Iodosorb keeps the circumference of the wound dry eliminating much of the masceration of the flesh. It beats attempting to use iodine on the bottom of the foot. The cost isn't really that bad. A 40 gm tube goes a long way. It works better than anything else that I have used and I have 13 years worth of experience in diabetic foot ulcers!

      This product is unbelievable. I had an infection that turned into a horrible wound. 8 weeks of treatment from dermatologists didn't work.       I have been using this ointment since my mother was discharged from the hospital 2 weeks ago for a stage 4 wound which was debrided. Since the bacteria traveled into the bone of her buttock, it was deemed inoperable because of her advanced age (102). Even though she will not be able to survive this open wound for an extended period of time, Iodosorb seems to be keeping the infection in check and maintaining the surrounding tissue intact.

      Iodosorb was prescribed by my doctor for a foot wound. It is easy to apply and very effective. CVS charged $150 for a 40g tube, Costco $90. I paid $50 including shipping and had it delivered within 36 hours. Amazing!!!!

      Excellent I was reluctant to buy because of the cost. But it is worth getting something that does the job! The product does promote healing on difficult long term wounds.... particularly deep one. Long term wounds can wind up playing host to multi-bacterial colonies of drug resistant bactertia. The slow release iodine is vere effective in treating such infections

      This is a hidden Miracle cream. My mother has been on this medication for almost 2 yrs. The doctor wanted to amputate her foot due to a wound and after 3 months of using the medication the wound has healed and no amputation. Heavenly sent!!!!

      I have been purchasing Iodosorb for my mother because Medicare does not pay for it. However, the medication has been great for my mother. The gel healed a Stage 4 wound on her foot that was scheduled to be amputated but postpone because the gel healed the ulcer. To date the wound is still healing from the inside out. Excellent product!!!!!
