    Lantiseptic Moisture Shield Original Skin Protectant from HealthyKin.com is an emollient ointment intended to protect chafed or ulcer-prone skin, promote the healing of skin injuries and serve as a first aid treatment. It is formulated to encourage the proper moisture balance of the skin, thereby supporting the body's natural healing processes. Lantiseptic Skin Protectant contains 50% lanonlin.

    Lantiseptic Moisture Shield Original Skin Protectant is effective in treating the following conditions:

    • Diaper Dermititis – With age, the epidermal layer of the skin, composed primarily of keratinocytes and stratum corneum, becomes dry and fragile with decreasing turgor and elasticity, predisposing the skin to irritation and breakdown. Research has shown that barrier ointments containing lanolin and petrolatum – the active ingredients in Lantiseptic – are more effective and longer-lasting in maintaining hydration and skin integrity among residents in skilled nursing homes.
    • Ulcer-prone Skin – Excellent results with Lantiseptic in the care of pressure sores stages I and II have led to its introduction for general use in nursing homes. The manner of use must be adapted to the needs of the individual patient and must be in accordance with the procedures of the nursing home. The moisturizing, emollient nature of the ointment maintains a superior environment for the healing process.
    • Incontinence – Lantiseptic is an effective skin protectant where urine, feces or intestinal contents irritate the skin. It should be applied to clean dry skin insufficient quantities to act as a barrier. Its emollient action will help protect the skin and speed healing.
    • Reddened or Cracked Skin – The soothing, moisturizing and protective properties of Lantiseptic make it well suited to the care of reddened or cracked skin. Specific applications should be adapted to the nature of the injury. Reddened skin will often clear overnight.
    • Burns and Other Skin injuries –Lantiseptic is not intended as a primary burn therapy but its protectant and emollient actions make it a useful adjunct in the treatment of burns and other skin injuries.

      My caregivers have been using the product for more than a decade since I was left quadriplegic and developed several skin problems including one pressure sore. It was almost miraculous healing after months of "cures" that were doing nothing. I have had no problems since and highly support the product. This company's service was also excellent.

      First time user and I like this product. It works as a good barrier cream and also moisturizes the skin; whereas, products that contain zinc seem to make the skin too dry. This is a nice balance.

      Hospice used this product on my husband in 2009 & I was able to purchase it by prescription from the doctor when my husband came home from hospice in 2010. It is an excellent product and it keeps my husband from getting a rash on his buttocks when he has to wear pull ups to sit in his lift chair, or power chair. It also heals a rash if his buttocks or back gets irritated from bleached hospital sheets. He is basically confined to his bed due to his drop foot, until I put on support hose and a double brace on his foot, so he can get up onto a walker to his power chair. Now I know I can order the product from healthykin.com.

      I have been using this product for over three years. My wife has been bedridden since August 2009 from a stroke that caused paralysis on the right side. Her skin is extremely smooth and elastic with no sign of breakdown. I would recommend this product for anyone in a similar health situation.

      Lantiseptic is a wonderful product for any one who has become immobile because of arthritis in the knees as my mom. Being in a wheelchair makes it very difficult for your body to get the circulation it needs. This product does wonders for the skin to help eliminate ulcers/bedsores, etc. HelathyKin is always on time with its deliveries and will always send notices regarding the status of your order. It's important that my mom have these products and I appreciate the quick response time. Partners Pharmacy would never deliver these products in such a timely fashion as Healthy Kin. THANKS SO MUCH!
