Using silicone catheters. If leg bag or drainage bag jammed in tightly enough, the statlock does not stay closed. If connection loosened to keep clamp closed, the bag can disconnect. Has happened 3 times now. :(

This is the product we are used to using with Dad and are generally pleased with the item. However the first two of this shipment are not staying properly latched and we think are a manufacturing defect. This is the first time in Dad's over 10 years of using this item we have had this difficulty. We are pleased with this company and their fast service for this and other products we purchase from them.

Post op, I had a very bright nurse who had a great idea. Secured to my thigh, the catheter was ok during the day. At night, though, when I moved around in my sleep there was too much pulling and tension when I moved my legs around. Her solution was to use two statlocks. She added a second one to my abdomen. The switch-over was quick and easy, and allowed me to sleep more comfortably. When morning came it was easy to switch back to the original statlock.
